Goody-Goody Sparkly Gumdrops

I'm finally getting back to stamping after a long weekend with my sister in town (she lives in Seattle). Her visit was sandwiched by a bout with the stomach flue and then a cold. Needless to say, I'm ready for things to get back to normal!

This card was created for a Splitcoaststampers challenge. The challenge was to create a card where black cardstock was used for the card base. This is actually one of my favorite card bases, so I was excited to give it a try! Here is the card I came up with, I love the bright colors against the black cardstock. I also lovely the sparkles on the gumdrops!

I stamped the gum drop images in black ink, and then colored them with my SU! markers. Then, I went over the colored images with my 2-way glue pen, and sprinkled dazzling diamonds over them. I think it makes the gumdrops look more realistic! (Although, I am wondering if it would have been better to use my chunky sprinkles?!)

It wasn't intentional, but I really like the way the large oval pixie pink piece is peaking (say that 3 times fast!) out from under the stylized silver hardware!
